Mr. Santanu Mukherjee had a dream of offering the best accommodation facilities to the tourists coming to Jaigaon/Bhutan. With dedication and a progressive attitude, he diligently laid out the futuristic design of Hotel Kasturi with modern facilities. The property was inaugurated in the year 1999 with 10 rooms and it happened to be the first of its kind in the town with a sophisticated shopping complex on the ground floor and a multi cuisine restaurant on the first floor.

The consistency in a pleasant customer service, ethical business practice and updated facilities showed fruitful results and the number of rooms reached 74 in no time. The 70 seater restaurant specializes in Indian Cuisine while serving mouth watering Bhutanese, Chinese and Continental dishes.

The Hotel is situated at a prime location at the N.S Road, Jaigaon well within150 metres from Bhutan Gate. The ambience of the hotel is beautified by the natural view of the Himalayan foothill ranges that surrounds the town. The lush green scenic beauty of the hills can be enjoyed from the hotel. The nearest railway station, Hasimara is 18 kms away. Nearest airport is Bagdogra Domestic Airport, 165 kms away. Cab and bus services are available from just outside the Hotel.

Mr. Mukherjee’s vision is to expand the current property to a 100 plus rooms by 2019. He believes his son, a Hotel Management graduate shall take it to the next level by using his expertise to meet and expand the hotel’s service and unique standard being maintained since its inception. Mr. Mukherjee and his son have been successful in setting up a sister property – Hotel Evan and phase II of Hotel Kasturi which rightly justifies the vision, dedication and motto of the hotel- Live to Serve.
